The sock monster had hidden almost all the socks of one of my children. This child has like 30 to 40 socks already, but they have all disappeared. I have no idea where they are, so I figured the sock monster hid them. In desperation I bought him a new pack of socks. Of course, this means the sock monster will show us his stash, right?
So where are they hid? My child admits the socks could be under the bed. Hmm. Maybe my child has turned into a sock hoarding monster. I have yet to check under the bed.
I wonder if I need to be more like the sock monster? I don’t want to hide socks under my bed, but instead hide God’s word in my heart as David did. Psalm 119:11 says “I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.”
I’m going to hide God’s word in my heart by collecting special verses in a notebook this year to read again and again.
I eventually found socks stashed all over said child’s room. I was just thankful they hadn’t mutated into random Tupperware pieces!
Which verses are special to you? Have you stashed them away in your heart?
