Jesus Clothes us in Righteousness

Rags or Riches?

Do you see yourself dressed in rags or riches? Does God see you dressed in rags or riches?

Before reading further, answer these two questions for yourself.

When we accept Christ as our Lord and Savior, He clothes us in righteousness. So now, when God looks at you He sees you as holy, blameless and without blemish. Is this how you see God looking at you, or do you still feel dressed in unworthy rags?

My friend, the good news is that God not only clothed you in righteousness, he made you holy, blameless and without blemish!

I don’t want you to take my word for it. Look at these scriptures and contemplate their truth this week.

Colossians 1:21-23; “Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior. But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation – if you continue in your faith, established and firm, not moved from the hope held out in the gospel.”

Romans 8:1-2; “Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death.”

Isaiah 61:10; “I delight greatly in the Lord; for my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of righteousness.

I Peter 2:9; “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”

These verses tell us the following:

I am loved.
I am chosen.
I am righteous.
I am holy.
I am blameless.

Walk in these truths this week. Say these truths each morning. Do you feel the power in these statements?
