God’s Faithfulness

God's Faithfulness

What if some did not have faith? Will their lack of faith nullify God’s faithfulness? Romans 3:3

Recently, friends went on a vacation to Alaska. I followed their adventures online and found myself reliving my own trips there. While the itinerary was not the same, there were several similarities.

The most notable was the stop at Denai National Park. While I have not yet seen the top of the mountain, my friends were blessed to see the peak on a bright sunny day, and they shared the pictures online. It’s truly beautiful. They are part of the 30% of people who have seen the peak. I’m part of the 70% who have not. Yet even though I have not seen the peak in person, that doesn’t change its beauty or majesty.

Isn’t faith and God like Mount Denali? The mountain is there and sometimes we can see it, and most of the time we can’t. Does a mountain covered in clouds not exist? No, it’s still there, just as God’s faithfulness is no matter the circumstances.

The beauty and majesty of the mountain is there, just as it always is, the question becomes how many clouds are we looking through? Do we only see the clouds of doubt and unbelief, or do we still believe the mountain is there in the clouds?

Do we believe the stories others share of faith or do we doubt what they say is real?

Our belief or unbelief that the mountain exists does not change the mountain or its existence. Just the same, our belief or unbelief in God doesn’t change His faithfulness to us.
